OK, Here is our assignment, should you choose to accept it...Reply here by 10am June 15th. http://www.myfirstforwomen.com/
Dana Squilla, Assistant Editor of First Magazine, wants funny blurbs for a story. The story is about how to handle embarassing situations with humor. She needs comebacks for when something happens, like if you walk out of the bathroom with TP on your heel, etc. What are some things they can say in the moment to help take focus off of what just happened?
So if you want to participate, reply to this thread with:
1. Your funny blurb
2. Your name as you want it in the story if you make it in
3. Optional, tell us why you think humor is the best way to make it through something like that.
"That was my smooth move for the day. I only get one."
"Mom would be so proud."
Keep your momentum...If you stumble and (hopefully) catch yourself, just go crazy and start doing Karate kicks in the air and yelp Miss Piggy "HiYya!"s with your arms flailing.
Look them in the eye, bat your eyelashes, flip your hair and saunter off with exaggerated hip movements. Everyone laughs with a big flirt.
Start singing the theme song to "Wonder Woman!"
If all else fails, go with the tried and true, "I meant to do that."

I might not be the one to ask about why humor is a good way to deal with embarassment becasue I'm a pudgy Southern Jewish woman and it's common for me to crack people up without even trying.
