It's difficult to say no when...
It's difficult to say no when you're at a friend's house and...
1) Your kid is holding a big bowl with two scoops of vanilla chocolate chip and then, right before her heaping spoonful reaches her mouth, she asks you if she can have some ice cream.
2) It's 100 degrees outside and the only thing cold is that bowl of rapidly melting ice cream.
3) It's an hour before dinner, but everybody else is eating ice cream.
4) You know that if you say yes, then you can eat some ice cream.
5) Your husband will never know that you and the kids had a carton of ice cream before dinner.
6) Ice cream is your favorite dessert on the planet.
7) Ice cream is mostly a dairy product, and you're looking to find additional sources of calcium.
8) Your shorts are too tight, but pretty soon you'll sweat off another 5 pounds of water weight.
9) Heck, who cares if my shorts are too tight? I could be hit by a bus tomorrow, and then I'd really regret not eating some ice cream.
